Sobering & Assessment Overnight Shelter Programming

Our partnerships with Island Health & BC Housing allow us to have spaces available within the region every night of the year. It provides a safe place in the community for intoxicated adults and shelter services to those dealing with substance abuse and misuse, the homeless, and those dealing with varying degrees of mental health barriers. Twelve spaces are designated year-round for sobering & assessment and shelter purposes. It’s open 24 hours, 7 days a week, and is facilitated by two shelter workers who provide safety plans, comfort, and care. Guests receive hot meals (Snacks, Dinner, and Breakfast), showers, dry clothing, and laundry services. Our services are integrated with Island Health’s Rapid Response Nurse (when available) and the Intensive Case Management Team to significantly increase the quality of care for participants.
